An exciting
service Performance Drilling Technology (PDT) is offering to customers who wish
to centralize to their job performance data and job related financial
information on a server that is accessible from anywhere in the world via a
secure connection on the internet. Customers' clients (the oil companies) are
given administrative rights to their data so that they can upload and download
data generated by WinSURV. They can also grant limited access to the data for
their customers so that the customers can keep track of the latest reports from
the field.
In addition to
storing WinSURV information, PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point, and graphics can be
stored. This is extremely useful for PDT customers who wish to maintain a
complete history of everything related to a particular well. For example, there
may be pictures of a bit or motor which are relevant to a particular BHA run.
Those pictures can be easily stored on the server under that BHA run where they
are immediately accessible and in context. Also, generalized job data can be
stored under the job number. An example of this type of data would be the PDF
of the wall plot, or excel generated charts that have been developed by the
directional company.
Drillpost.com can
be used as a morning report generator. If your field personnel have access to
the internet they can send in their morning reports by selecting the SEND TO
INTERNET option. If their key has been properly programmed the current job will
be saved, encrypted, compressed and sent to DRILLPOST.com where it will
automatically be inserted into the server database. The coordinator can select
'MORNING REPORTS' and all the reports for that day are put into a file that he
can print.
Many companies
have websites that are essentially carved in stone. To change them often
requires what seems like an Act of Congress. With Drillpost.com, your web page
is the principle frame. Your logos are prominently displayed, and Drillpost.com
looks like an extension of your web page. Drillpost.com gives you a Company
repository in which all kinds of data can be stored that you would have liked
to add to your web page, but Congress was on vacation. With Drillpost.com it is
easy to add new web pages, pictures and documents that are relevant to your
company's current situation. These files are organized in an Explorer-like
interface tree view that can be modified by the administrative user of the
directional company. The content of the repository can be selectively viewed
depending upon the password authority of the viewer. For example, you may have
some company policies that are meant to be viewed only by company employees.
Only employees would be given password authority to view those policies. On the
other hand, you may want to make available a power point presentation to your
customers as an advertising tool. Doing so is very easy.
Drillpost.com also
provides a Chart Analysis tool that can be used to view both performance and
financial information that is generated by WinSURV2. As an example let's say
you wanted to see all the 12" and 12 ¼" below a certain depth in a particular
field. With a few clicks , a drop down and another click you could have all the
data from that field summarized by amount drilled, or time drilled and show a
histograph , three bar chart or a pie chart. Summarizing invoice information is
just as easy. You can look at Invoice generation by Company, State, or District
for example.
Your
web page becomes a dynamic interface with Drillpost.com The short of it is that
Drillpost.com gives the moderate sized and small directional companies access
to a data management system that larger companies either don't have or have
spent millions of dollars to develop. Your data is securely stored and has
several layers of security.
For companies that
would prefer not to have their data on the DRILLPOST.com server, but prefer the
security of their own server, PDT will work with them to put it on their
server. This option has the added expense of additional Microsoft SQL licenses
and report generating licenses in addition to the costs of a PDT programmer to
tie it all together for the initial setup. In addition to the standard usage
fees an additional maintenance fee is charged on a monthly basis.
